Technically, the product works as described. It fits in maverick guns just fine and the catch easily catches it, just like the stock spring.
HOWEVER, 3 stars for not having an explicit warning on the definite failure of the maverick's cocking mechanism (not a normal wear and tear issue)
Specifically, the metal rod inside the cocking cover (the thing you pull to compress the spring) will slowly start to bend. The plastic housing for the rod will also eventually crack.
One of my mavericks' plastic housing is completely gone, thus gun is un-cockable/dead. The other has formed a crack and the pin is bent, but it is still cockable if pulled down hard. However, it is facing imminent death.
The spring works, just make sure to reinforce the cocking mechanism somehow..

Great for FuryFires

I installed this spring in both a new Maverick and my old FuryFire.
Within a day, the trigger catch for the Maverick was too worn away too much to be of any use. This was with a replacement catch spring. So it provides an upgrade to power, but finding a way to reinforce the catch is needed.
In my Nerf FuryFire the spring works beautifully. Be sure to pad your plunger and reinforce the space behind the spring.
